Quote of the Day --- "Character"

"Be more concerned with your character than with your reputation. Your character is what you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are."
--Dale Carnegie--

Recently, I have encountered several incidents where people have had great reputations, but very little to no character. Many people believe the more people that like them or agree with them or praise them for who they are is important and makes them who they are. But these are just signs of an insecure person and weak attempts to build one's self-esteem when they know they truly possess no substance. Bottom line, a good reputation is great, but when that reputation is not backed by a weak character, your reputation is worthless. All in all, character will always standout over reputation. Whether that character is good or bad, reputation only has a short life and one's character lives forever.
